Newly landed from their jarnacaise province town and up from their 21 years old, Alaska Raving Mad is a surprising trio. A solid and assured bass, drums that won't take a long time complainting for brutality, an efficient guitar and a voice cynicaly revolted are melt together for a spontaneous result.
Created 6 years ago, fed with band from Noise Amphetamine, Dischord Records or Touch and Go, Alaska Raving Mad is giving us a personal rock with Bluetip's, Jawbox's, Fugazi's, Chokebore's, Mule's, Girls Against Boys' or Nirvana's intonations. Watertight, their first production, released in early 2003, is a good start. It brings a sounds that neither pretends to be new nor to overpass the rock'n'roll's limits but that has the merit of being true and also explosive. Live, Alaska Raving Mad never lets nobody cold, owing to an efficient show; overall, it is a live band.
Actualy, when they don't chat girls up, don't drink beer and don't smoke cigarettes, they sometimes works on new songs to prepare what could be a next album, who knows...
